My Ride: 2007 530i, Steptronic 6, Silver Gray, Black Dakota leather, Anthracite wood, Premium pkg, Sport pkg, Cold Weather pkg, Premium Sound, pro nav, Active Steering, Park Distance, folding rear seats.
I have narrowed my choices down to two; any feedback would be highly appreciated.
My original order was built early but with the wrong wood trim, so my dealer scheduled me a new build date. So I?m thinking of changing the color from Silver Gray to Black Sapphire. What do think?

Since it's not my car, I would get black with auburn. I don't have the time or patience to care for a black car. Silver grey is so easy to take care of

Go for the black and auburn. I have silver gray with black. I really really really regret I haven't chosen the black one. I have my car for 4 month, now I really wish I had black

Tough choice. I like the Black w/ Auburn bur not sure the Antrichite would be to my taste. I like the Antrichite with black or grey interiors, just not sure with auburn. Therefor I'd vote for the Silver Grey black combo...

A light colour car is much easier to keep looking cleaning since it hides the dirt better. Also that if you order the M-Sport aero package it gets noticed more in a light colour car. My partners and I took delivery of three identical 530Xi's in April - One silver, one jet black, and one carbon black metallic. My silver one always look clean even though I only wash it once in a while. The dark cars, on the other hand, always look dirty nomatter how often they are washed. They stay clean for may be half-a-day after each wash, that's it! I can't wait until winter comes when the roads are a mess and weather is too cold to wash the cars! Can't wait to see how their's will look like compared to mine!
P.S. Light colour also makes the car appears bigger.

I was using exactly the same arguments when chosing my car:
- m pack is more distinct
- always clean look
But after all, the thing that is the most distinct is the color. Color can give your car a complete different look or maybe 'feeling'. It is the colour which is covering your car the most.
Off course its personal taste, I prefer black. But just think twice before making a decision

Black with auburn leather....Its pretty sharp...I have a lot of silver cars, so opted for the dark blue Monaco Blue with Auburn Leather.
Yeah you will need to wash more it often., so what, thats fun too.
Just wax it every couple of months and you will be fine.
