My 09 535xi was hit while parked in front of my house overnight...c'est la vie.

I went through Parkview BMW on Leslie to get the car repaired and they referred one party: Peter Woo of Excellence Auto Collision.

Peter Woo recommended one company for my replacement car, Canada Car Rental. They gave me a MB E 300 or something like that.

everyone was polite and orderly. So far, so good.

My insurane company was responsive and told me that I had a budget of $1,500 for the rental, which I communicated to the rental company and Peter Woo.

About a week into the wait for my car to be repaired, I contacted Peter Woo by telephone, knowing that the rental budget was about to be used up.

He told me that he had spoken to the adjuster (whom he knew and delt with regularly) and not to worry, the $1,500 only applied to at-fault accidents, and the whole cost of the rental would be covered. That was a lie.

What I should have done at that point is not belived this, and called my insurer. I also should have used email with Peter Woo. But sadly, I took this information at face value and continued to drive the rental...you can see where this is going.

Two more weeks passed before my car was repaired of this minor damage, making three in total.

Bottom line, Peter Woo bought himself time, with a misrepresentation of my costs, leaving me with a $2,862 charge, which was the amount over the $1,500 I truly had covered.

$4,362 for three weeks of a MB E? Maybe I should buy a leasing company myself...

So: heads up ladies and gentlemen.
