Fellow E60'ers,

Finally pulled the trigger on a new 550i, today. Here is what I ordered.

You can see what I ordered in my signature, below. The dealer was nice and I used the same salesman I did on my wife's E60. We are pretty big on his and hers types of things. It has helped out our marriage, tremendously.

Anyway, I am very excited. I will look forward to seeing the differences between the two cars.

Rec'd my production number after the ordering process today, and I will be monitoring the build process through the BMW Owners Circle.

On an interesting side note, I asked my dealer when the first M5 will arrive at his place. He said in about 3 weeks. I asked what the current waiting list was and he said it is amazingly short, as in Late December, January if you order, today. His allocation of M5's was much higher than they expected, so it looks like BMW is cranking these babies out. I just didn't have the 20 Extra 20 Grand to spend, or I would have ordered one, myself.

Now, the wait begins and the 2 months of paying some things off get serious, so I can afford another Big car payment, but its worth it!!!

Another funny tidbit was me bringing in the Retail and Wholesale price lists, printed off this site, in to help with negoiatations. My salesmen said he hadn't even seen the wholesale one, and I am always amazed at how our info matches theirs to the letter. Most dealerships are still in the dark, or don't want to acknowledge, how much accurate info is out there.

Thanks, LOMAG, for setting up this GREAT group!

Regards, Mike

For all that have emailed me about this price list, it is located on this very site.

Arthur,

I cannot reply to your personal message, so here is my reply.

Welcome to the site and thanks! The list I am talking about is available on this web site. Go to http://www.e60.net Then click on information. Scroll down to Perspective Info, 2006 Price Lists.

Here is the link, BTW.

Hopefully this will help you. Good Luck.

M5 wheels can be ordered but are not an option in the states. You have to order them from the parts dept.

meHall2, I was wondering how much were you able to get starting off retail or were u able to get a deal @ somewhat close to the wholesale price? if so how did u go about getting such a deal, I'm a young man looking to buy such a car in the near and I wouldn't consider myself a good negotiator so I was just wondering what "tactics" you used or did u just go in with the printed information and go from there, thank in advance for any help.

You should have some sort of special status on this board since you own two E60's. The rest of us only have one. Congrats!
