I'm new to this forum and a new bmw owner
i order my on september 9 and pick up my new 2005 545I on nov 3 just last week

cold weather
prem sound
almost everything. very happy with the smg I have been driving manual for a long time and I'm very surprise how well SMG handles!
please wait it out you will be very happy with your car.
question to all prem sound owners HOW DO YOU PLAY MP3 CD'S?????? in your 5er

Unfortunately MP3 is not yet available on the E60, allthough there can be an AUX-In installed to plug in an ipod or whatever...

to my understanding the 05 545i with logic7 pkg can play mp3 cd's not 04 but let me double check i had some pdf files from bmw and thats where i got the info from!

Just hang in there Mine took 2 months of waiting for a production number and 2 1/2 months to get here worth every bit of time My dealer does'nt stock them the way I wanted it so I am glad I waited

Ziabingi, there are multiple threads on this board about time from production to arrival to dealer. The main variable is the production date that your dealer gave you for the car. My CA was very good but he consistently underestimated the ETA of both cars that I ordered. If you can wait for two weeks than you can probably wait for six. If you can't wait for two weeks then go buy a car off the lot BMW, Audi etc.

Status: 193 (03/01/03) <--- loaded on vessel
(03/21/03) arrived at Port Hueneme
SO ya it depends if you were lucky enough to hit the Order period. Most dealers place their ordered for their cars at the end of the month. Like last week of the month. So Placing your order on 8/8 doesnt mean it went to BMW AG. it only means the dealer has your order in their computer and will be submitted to BMW AG prob at the end of Aug. Have you tracked your car on BMW OL? Have you called BMW NA with your production number to see what the status is? That way you know whats going on and what to expect. Ya it takes effort. You cant expect they call everyone 400 cars a day to tell their owners "oh your car is in the paint shop today" do you? Not all owners care... you have to bug them about it and find out. Ya the wait is annoying and difficult but hey how cool is that to be able to ORDER what you want know its being built for you, not many cars offer that. If you cant deal with the wait you should have just bought off the lot.
