...although your post seemed to imply new 535d due to insurance relisting, which I thought was a bit of an assumption - no mention in the official information - what do you think?

There is only minor price difference b/w 545i and 550i SE model: 42445 pounds vs 43550 pounds = about 1000 pounds different = about $2000 different in US. But I don't think it's going to be that much different in US.
In case of 745i vs 750i in US, price changes from $70600 to $71200. Only $600 increase. What a change, huh! So, for 545i I think it might be just $1K different.

It's a big guess but the only reason would be increased power?? Surely a name change wouldn't have that affect???? ![W00t](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/w00t.gif)

[/quote]Possibly, but if you buy a 'old' 535d it will be a smidgen cheaper on the insurance in theory...
We know the enhanced engine is coming, it's just when...

There are also some new colours one being Monaco Blue. Mystic Blue and Oxford green 2 are being discontinued.

Why discontinue Mystic ?
They are introducing Mystic onto the E90 in September to be the lighter blue, because monaco blue is so dark
