Right. If you can have the CA give you a copy of the Wholesale Price report for the car. No reason for them not to in my opinion. It will show MACO if they are in and it shouldn't if they aren't. I've only seen the former. Not really sure how a dealer can opt out since the advertising is regional and non-dealer specific. Seems like they would get the benefit without the participation. In Southern California MACO has been running at 1% of base wholesale.

It's a combination of costs for transportation, cleaning, fuel etc.

The "afleveringskosten" or "kosten rijklaar maken", translated by me as "delivery costs" (not sure if this is the right term) are quite common here. They range from maybe €400.- for small cars up to over €1500.- for luxury sedans.

Example: A 530i "high executive" costs €77,850.- here, and if you buy one you'll have to pay an additional €950.- (delivery) + €50.- (registration) + €45.- (recycling fee).
