We don't have that kind of option over here.. You can get service included but it doesn't cover everything.. :'(

I have it worse. I get the german service, have to pay for it all and look at all the cool options I can't have.

thanks for all your replies, ill see what the dealer says tomorrow (monday) after they have supposedly spoken to bmw.

quick update,

got a phonecall from my dealer today saying they have spoken to bmw, and they have agreed to pay for the cost of the discs. But i have to pay for labour nd the new pads. Not sure if im happy with this, but i guess its something.

How do you find out which version of software you have/ In my X I would just see it at the bottom of the nav screen.

Jimbo, there was thread about someone who had worn out his pads in 13,000 miles that the dealer basically said that it was not "normal wear and tear" and that his aggressive driving caused the need for early replacement. Because of this, the dealer was not going to replace under warranty.
