My Ride: 2005 545i step, nav, sport, 166 wheels, premium sound, don't need nothin' else.
Default

Well, I finally did it. Here are the details: MY2005 545i, Black Sapphire Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Cold Weather Package, Rear Heated Seats, L7 Sound, Nav, Comfort Seats, Sport Package, Steptronic.

I am "trading up" from a 2004 530 w/step, Premium package, Xenons, Cold Weather.

After test driving a 2004 545 sport, my mind was made up (scared s**t out of my brother who was along for the ride). Sorry I couldn't go for the SMG, but I took Rudy's advice (took SMG out of the picture) and decided I would prefer automatic to traditional manual, so there's the reasoning (Thanks, Rudy! ).

European Delivery in January.

BTW, what can I do about the RF tires if weather is lousy? Any suggestions out there?

I'd really prefer all season tires on 135M rims (M Sport Package).

I was looking at ED, but would have liked to spend a couple of weeks over there, but could not take the time. Next Time though.

I guess you can upgrade your sig now.

No HUD (I liked the movie though).

I agree I will own an SMG some day. Can I test drive your S65 when it comes in? That might help me decide...

BTW, thanks for your ED posts. Especially the .mpeg files (It's a new M5! It just passed a Corvette!) Definitely hang on to those. Also the pic of you beside M Sport pack E60. I really love those wheels.

It's too far off to think about. Besides, I'm already driving an E60.

Congrats on the upgrade!

You should add HUD. It works great with Nav in Europe. If you want to try mine out in the Chicago area, contact me. The 545 is awesome.
