Excellent color combo
Personally, I really don't see the benefit of a 2 step ignition (key fob and start/stop button). Except for the initial "cool" factor cited above, I'm not really a fan. On the other hand, comfort access is both neat and useful - too bad it costs $1,000 in the U.S. :'(

Honestly...I thought I wanted the Start/Stop button on my car too...regretted a bit that I didn't wait for the Sept production...but then after I saw that you still insert the key into the same place...then press the button...I didn't feel I wanted it as much as before...more steps...
I also found out today that Keyless Go (MB version of comfort Access) is an CAD$1895 option even on the most expensive S65AMG (Base Price of CAD$227,000) Then the CAD$1100 Comfort access on our E60 is a steal!

I have a 530i Sport coming and was told that the stop/start button model production starts on week 38. I had heard that there were a few other changes and decided to wait. My dealer called up BMW to confirm production start date and then booked me a slot.
The other thing that as winding me up was the new N52 engine. Per my dealer it went into production months ago and that all cars had it now regardless of whether they were 05 or 06. Another dealer (I was playing one against the other trying to reduce the price) kept on saying that the N52 engine doesnt kick in till 06 production - very confusing but trusted my local dealer in the end (still have it all in writing though before I signed
).

I just dont understand how Nbarco has it then (unless he ordered the Comfort Pkg). His car was apparently built on Sept. 5th.

I don't even know what build week number I have anymore.? I thought I had week 36 also, but my car was built on Sept. 7th.? So maybe that's week 37 or 38?

Really nice ride mr_djurgarden, congrats
The MY question not only about the start/stop buttom.
What I see as most important is that the car is a genuine MY '06 with all the small (not advertised) and bigger improvements i.e. DSC+, Start-assistent for manual trans cars, Break Fading Compensation, Soft-Stop, Brake-Standby and the nice option Comfort Access.

I really like the engine design. My dealer told me that I was the first one without a dipstick, you check the oillevel in the Idrive.
