These are confirmed changes for MY2006 Sept. production. There may be more but this is what I have received so far...

Standard changes (no cost)

- Start/stop button instead of key (Not comfort access, that is an extra option)
- New iDrive knob (similar to 7-series, leather on top)

- Button on drivers seat doorpanel to open the trunk
- Improved quality / material selection on certain interior parts (not specified)

New extra options available (at cost):

- Hibeam assist
- Comfort access (as in 1 and 3-series)
- Front passenger seat airbag on/off with key
- Isofix fixture mounted by front pass. seat
- New 18" rims, model 32
- Three new colors: Deepgreen, Monaco Blue, Barberared
- Sport suspension will also be available for E61

Connector for certain approved childseats. I believe you have another name for it in the US.

Latch or ISOFIX, I've heard both here. Usually, they're in the back seat, but now in the front passenger for those parents that choose to put the child seat in the front. Disables airbag when ISOFIX latches are engaged.

I prefer the current I-drive knob. IMO the leather top looks cheap.
