I notice that the sport package has a "space saver spare tire". Does that mean BMW is no longer using run flat tires?

Nah we always got the donut spare with the sports pack. I have it and so does everyone else in the US.

And speaking of donut spare--be sure to check the tire pressure a few times a year. Mine was down 10 lbs after 6 months!

Anyone know what the "without DVD" means with the navigation system? Does that mean you must purchase the Navigation DVDs separately?

Thanks.

Noticed you still can't get the Cold Weather Package (ZCW) with the ventilated Seats (453).  "453 cannot be ordered with 494, ZCW)(550i)

And then since can't get the Cold Weather Package, can't get the rear heated seats.

Also noticed that you have to get the Cold Weather package to get the night vision "611 must be ordered with 609 and ZCW"

That is riduculous. WHY CAN'T BMW USA LET US DO IT????

Something is wrong here... Before I decided on the M5, I had a 550i on order with both ventillated seats AND Cold Weather pacakge. In fact, it is due to board a boat any day now. When I ordered the ventillated seats, the dealer told me CWP was actually REQUIRED for ventillated seats, as it is considered a "sub-option" of the package. (Ventillation also apparently requires premium "nasca" leather AND comfort seats, making it rather expensive to order.) I have also seen a similar configuration on a 550i at the Marin dealer (Sonnen BMW). If you don't believe me, look up production #7001928 or VIN WBANB53586CN93356 using the Owner's Circle website; that's the car I had on order.

Agree something in wrong here. Just took that off the option list at begining of thread. Very interesting. Guess I am still a little pissed that they would not let me order back when I got my car.

Congrats on the M5, saw one today on the highway and it was gorgeous.

Believe me, I was pissed I HAD to order it, given I live in sunny California! Although, the new M5 has it too, so who am I kidding? It was nice at Tahoe, at least!

Yeah, the M5 is a dream. Sooo happy I got it. I get a little too much attention in it... kind of unnerving... but at least I know people aren't rubbernecking because I have something hanging out of my nose, or worse.
