I am new to the group. A lot of great information here from the very knowledgeable members.

Getting ready to negotiate pricing for ED a 530i but have not read anything about the wholesale pricing.

I am prepared to pay $1K over ED invoice. The dealer is telling me that my calculations are off by $675. This translates to an increase of about $1,400 over the MY06 ED base invoice pricing. This is twice as much as the base MY07 $700 increase in MSRP.

Have the ratios changed for MY07? Using the price sheets from 04, 05, and 06 there seem to be a ratio of approximately 9% between MSPR and invoice.

I am basically working off invoice so the MSRP numbers are useless for negotiating.

Can someone share some MY07 ED invoice numbers?

This is the only news we have gotten so far on the MY07's

Here's the pricing changes for the 2007 5 Series. Also, BMW will be including 4 years of BMW Assist instead of 1 year which represents a $720 value.

Pricing is effective March 1, 2006.

525i.... $1,000 more than 2006 = $43,500
525xi....$1,000 more than 2006 = $45,700
530i .....$700 more than 2006 = $47,500
530xi.....$700 more than 2006 = $49,700
550i.......$1,100 more than 2006 = $58,500
530xiT......$700 more than 2006 = $52,100

HD Radio 653 = $500
Night Vision 611 = $2,200

Sport Package (now includes 20-way Multi-contour seats, a $1,200 value and Sport Steering wheel on all models)

2006 2007 change
525i $2,000 $2,500 $500
525xi $700 $1,300 $600
530i $2,300 $2,800 $500
530xi $700 $1,300 $600
550i $2,300 $2,800 $500
530xiT $700 $1,300 $600

One of the three CAs I've been talking to gave me a copy of the MY07 Pricing sheet which shows the following Base Price ED:

525i - $40,445
525xi - $42,500
530i - $44,175
530xi - $46,220
550i - $54,405

He also indicated the markup on MY07 is 7% so you can figure out what the invoice is for each. Hope this helps.

The discount on the MY06 from Euro MSRP to Euro Invoice was 9% not 7%.

The discount from Base MSRP to Euro MSRP is 7%.

Your dealer is wrong unless BMW is changing the way they figure prices.

Wow willing to only pay $1K over ED invoice price... someone wants the best deal ever on the planet. Awesome! I wish I was able to get that price... I got ripped off. :'(

That $675, sounds suspiciously like the destination fee which would be added to the invoice price for the 06 and 07. Need to add that to the MY06 ED base invoice pricing also, not just the 07.

Looks like the discounts have changed. I had added the destinations fees.

No markups from the dealer. This is what I found from my dealer thus far.

The base 530i US MSRP is $47,500 and invoice is $43,880.

The base 530i ED MSRP is $44,175 but I do not have the ED invoice.

As you can see the MY07 530i US invoice price has increased $1,110 over MY06 invoice. This is considerably greater than $700 MSRP increase. This is quite an increase in 6 months from Setember 1, 2005 to March 1, 2006 pricing sheets.

Based on these numbers, I am guessing the base 530i ED invoice at $40,670.

The ED invoice on the 530i is $40,200 per the pricing sheet out today.

No kidding , that is inexpensive for an E60.

ED invoice for a 525 is $36,800.

Heck they are just giving them away.
