It's the Aegean Leader. I've enclosed the latest tracking picture in case yours is on it too.

When is the Aegean Leader schedule to arrive at the port?

Your guess is as good as mine. As the image I'm posting is about 8 hours old, the ship should be at the the port right about now. I believe the VPC is closed over the weekend so they would not be able to unload the boat until Monday. I'm not sure how long the whole VPC and delivery to the dealer takes, but I estimate our cars should be available late next week or the following Monday. Perhaps someone else has more information on how long the unloading process takes.

Car has arrived at the port, waiting for ship assignment!

Hoping for getting on the Elektra (Voyage ED435-ELX) departing Bremerhaven on 16 Dec 2004 and arriving Port Hueneme, CA on 13 Jan 2005.

///M Rakete, I checked the ship on the internet, and found that "Elektra" is sailing in the Pacific ocean, near Japan!!
Where is our ship? Do you have any idea?

You saw old data. That weather observation (the basis for the location plots on these tracking web sites) was from Nov. 6th.

The Wallenius Wilhelmsen site shows Elektra as having sailed from Bremerhaven yesterday. It will stop at Zeebrugge, Belgium tomorrow, 12/18/2004.

I talked with a BMW customer service representative this morning and he said my car was on a ship and had left the port yesterday. He couldn't tell me the name of the vessel however it's almost certainly the Elektra. The IVR system still says it's at the port awaiting assignment but I'm guessing that will be updated in the next day or so. Likewise I assume I'll be able to track my car by VIN through the WW site. In any event my sales representative is on the hook to run status everyday and report.

My guess is that between the time of transport to the port and arrival at the VPC the car is out of BMW's hands and their tracking information is somewhat affected/delayed by whatever interface they have with the shipping line.

Yeah, I could see Elektra on WW site. It is a bit strange, though. They do not use WW ships for West Coast shipment. Do they change a rule and start shipping by WW in these days?

They use WW to the West Coast for Minis and Volvos come through them as well. I hadn't heard anything about WW not being used by BMW to Port Hueneme. I think they use both WW and NYK.

I stand corrected (not an infrequent occurrence).

My car is not on a WW vessel but is instead on an NYK RoRo, the Capricornus Leader. It also departed Bremerhaven on the 16th.

Trying to wrangle an NYK web site login so as to track it.

Yep, ///M Rakete.
BMWNA does not use WW for Weat coast shipment in these days. I talked to NA rep today, and found that mine was shipped on 12/16 as well. Looks like mine is next to yours on RoRo by NYK. BTW, I could not find the vessel, RoRo anywhere. Do you have any idea of the ship name?
NYK does not have any real time tracking, so let's check at Sailwx.info. If you would find further info, pls keep us updated.
