Dealer calls and says my car is here, but I'm out of town and won't be back until late next week ....

My Ride: Mine: 2006 530i, titanium silver, grey leather, poplar grain wood trim, SMG, Premium, Cold Weather, Sport packages, fold down rear seats with ski bag, park distance control, rear side airbags. ED: ordered 3/29/05, picked up 6/3/05 (well, not quite - long story), redelivered 8/6/05.
Wife: 2005 X3 2.5, water blue, light beige leather, birch grain light wood trim, steptronic, panoramic roof, Cold Weather, Sport packages, fold down rear seats with ski bag, cruise control, fog lights, rear side airbags, heated seats. Ouch. That would drive me nuts. The E60 would be on my mind a lot! I hope you're going somewhere fun!
You think you got problems. My car arrived on July 8, and I left on a business trip and vacation, the next day, which will not allow me to pick up my car until AUGUST 8!!!!! :'(

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
I know the feeling. Mine was sitting at the VPC due to a ECM recall for almost three weeks. The VPC is 10 miles from my office. So close, yet so far.
The payoff will be worth it.
