My Ride: 2008 535xi Sport//Monaco Blue//Natural Brown//Anthracite headliner//Premium PKG//Cold WX PKG//Sprt PKG w Style 124 (S), Style 135 (W)//Navigation//HUD//PDC//Logic 7//HD Radio//Rear folding seats//Rear heated seats//Rear side airbags//Rear sunshade//HBA//Lane deviation//iPod adapter.
My name is Marty and I just purchased a 2008 535xi. I'm moving to Germany where I will take delivery and just realized a few things. One is that the unlimited maintenance offered here in the states is not given to vehicles in Germany. In England, there is a program where you can pay for service for three or five years. Does Germany have something like this? What do the services usually cost and what are the intervals for maintenance (3k miles, 5k miles, etc.)
Two, BMW Assist is given for four years in the US. Is it offered in Europe, or is this also extra?
Finally, the warranty is only valid for two years in Germany. I'm sure there is an extended warranty for purchase but does anyone know about how much it costs or what is covered?
I tried to translate the German website, but alas my German is not as good as it once was. Maybe in due time. I will include pictures my car when I pick it up in Feb08. I look forward to your responses.
