I actually LIKE having a Mini as a Loaner car, it makes for a nice change!! (especially the Mini "S" I'm driving now!).
BTW, pull out the floor mats, it is good for an additional 25hp for you Asthmatic loaner! ![Laughing](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/laughing.gif)

i have mini copper as a loan car and its bloody awfull, theres no lock on the reverse gear, nearly backed into a porsche on the way home
WHAT! its bloody awful because you cant get 1st gear correctly? It takes quite a bit of effort to get past the reverse gate if you are using THAT much effort to shift something else is wrong. You should not need to FORCE the car into gear. They go in very nicely with little effort.
Porsche's reverse is the exact same as the MINI. They're perfect.

My last loan car from Cooper Tunbridge Wells was a brand new 530D M Sport (less than 2,000 miles on it) with lots of extras. Definitely better than a Mini.
Not sure what the usual loan car policy is but I suspect in these hard times they are just using any second hand car rather than dedicated loan cars. The car I had was up for sale on their website.
