2004 RX330 Lexus - crystal white - reliable, quiet, and the "beater" car for ski trips, hauling, etc.

Das - I spoke with my salesman about the padded money factor - he says that the 0.00140 is the buy not the sell rate and so the 0.00180 was apparently a "great deal" and that 4.3% was a good rate AND that you calculate the rate by multiplying by 2000, not 2400 -
I don't know what others have experienced but this is ridiculous -
Despite my enthusiasm about my new e60 I will seek another dealer - very disappointing experience!!!!!!! I hate to say it but my Lexus experience was decidely painless in comparison, now only if their cars were more exciting.....
Ok, guys, the wait begins, again......painful....
.0016 is decent, but to say much one has to know what car you are buying/bought and when you are doing/did so.
Your rate is good enough. It might have been a tad better since your car was introduced a while back. But, small differnces in money factors don't matter much. You might have been able to shop around for a lower factor, but why bother? Overall, the BMW leasing arrangement probably would have been better even if you had found a lower factor. The BMW leasing plan is a good one with a number of good pluses--most of which I can't remember right now.

On Order for December ED:
2009 335i coupe
0.0016 is the BMWFS October buy rate for an 06 525i, and a markup of .0002 is not that unreasonable. I would not consider it a dealbreaker if the other components of the lease are favorable, but with leases there are many factors to consider other than just the money factor.

good news-I went to a competing dealer and got the car for 1000.00 over invoice, the M-aero kit at cost, and a money factor of 0.00150! wow, it was painless.....
and it looks like I'll be getting the car that's on the boat after all!!!
