Just ordered new silver/grey s530d M Sport and with Media and Visibility packs the car is a MY06 build week 39 and is in stock at a UK dealer.
My dealer has told me that he has a memo from BMW on his desk that says the car will be able to play MP3 cd's following a software update due in December the dealer said he will show me the memo when I go in to sign the papers on Monday.
He has also confirmed that the upgrade will be FOC.
Has anyone else heard about the software update?

Black Dakota leather and Maple wood. haven't head of the upgraded engine what is the difference?
have you heard anything about the MP3 upgrade for the pro nav system?
how does the 535d compare to your old 530d?

Congrats!! I think it's also the new engine. All the updates were week 38 for all the Europe cars.

asked the dealer today and he says it is a my06 and has the start/stop button and the upgraded engine.
Not sure whether the button is such great news but can't wait to try the new engine having driven the old one for over 2 years.
Should be getting the car next monday getting pretty excited now!!!!!

I went passed the dealer this afternoon and my car has arrived it's waiting for PDI and I will get it on Monday
