Thanks for the tip regarding volume of Nav-babe's voice sj3, it worked. Just had another problem with the Nav, it alawys displays the arrow for North only, is there a way to display the arrow+direction of the way your heading towards as in if im heading towards west, i want it to simply say West with arrow ahead?

Not sure I understand the question. The arrow always displays in the direction you're going, i.e. ahead. If it does indicate an actual direction, I don't pay much attention. There's only one arrow view, but a map view north and a map view in the direction of travel.

Sam's right. The arrow in the screen and in HUD are always indicating where the nose of the car is and will be pointing on the route. If there is no route, there is no arrow.

The arrow points to your target, and the N indicates how the map is positioned.
At least that is my impression from the navigation system of the E39.

Oh, THAT arrow. It looks like they make you ascertain your direction of travel relative to North rather than just telling you. That 'N' is hard-coded there and then the small arrow to the right of the 'N' changes depending on how you have the map set (north up vs dir. of travel up). I'm not sure if the other arrow ponts you in the direction your supposed to be going or toward your destination as the crow flies. I think it's the former. From your pic, it looks like nav-babe is asking you to make a u-turn. You are travelling north-east and you're supposed to be travelling south-west. I don't think there's a way to change how it uses that small square, i.e. the 'N' is hard-coded there rather than updating with the actual direction you're going. You'd probably need two letter-spaces there (SE, NW, etc.).
