Update for the Chicago Boys.....
I spoke with Fields BMW (in Northfield) this morning and they told me that they just received the new software last Friday. I asked them twice if in fact what they received was the 16.2 version and the service manager assured me that it is 16.2.
However, he told me that they have not installed it in all of their "stations" (whatever that means), but it will be by the end of this week. And they want to install it in a couple of in-house cars first to test them out. He also said that I can make arrangement with Michael Alwin (assistant service manager) to schedule an appointment to have my software upgraded.
If you don't feel like waiting for Myour respective dealerships, you can make arrangement with Michael Alwin at (847) 441-5300.
