I guess the info on year would be the american way to define the model year.
In EU it?s supposed to only exist production date (On some issues it seems that BMW is actually holding the rolling implementation of spec changes most common to europe for US model year introduction but on the other hand the opposite is sometimes also true)
My last BMW (e46 built july 99) was actually registered with my dealer as a 00 model in his computer.

The dynamic drive is for any driving situation, intentional or unintentional, i.e. accident avoidance.
Safety was mentioned in one of your posts, so if you have a family this would be the first item for you and your family's safety.
IMO, black exterior is just too difficult to maintain. Titanium Silver is very easy.
