Is it 5 weeks or more?

It took about 6 weeks for me when it said "scheduled for production" and I reside just outside of philadelphia, so I would think it would be at least 6-7 weeks for you on the west coast.

I am not sure about the west coast delivery. My M5 went to production 01/12/08 and it is scheduled to arrive
at the dealer this Wednesday 03/19. I would think it would be a week or so longer to the west coast. If they
use Wilhelmsen & Wallenius to ship the car you can go to thier webpage and search for schedules to the west coast
Long Beach or L.A.
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/
Once you know the name of the ship, you can track it using the following page
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shiplocations.phtml
It is all worth the wait

If you have a VIN, then either your car is starting to or just finished being built. Mine was ready for delivery two weeks after I got my VIN - but I accepted delivery in Germany.

If you are awaiting delivery in the states - I agree with the other posts....6-8 weeks.
