How accurate the order information on BMWUSA

Well, just thought I'd note that it seems the 800 number is very current, and equivalent from what the dealers can pull up from their ordering systems. What the 800 number gives you corresponds with the production status codes listed here.
For people who haven't done this before, just call 1-800-831-1117, and when the menu begins, say "Vehicle Production Status". It will then ask you for your production number or the last digits of your VIN, and will then give you the current status of your vehicle (including estimated completion if it's still in production).

My 550 went from On Order to Scheduled for Production today (odd that it changed on a Saturday), so I was wondering how quickly the info gets updated from the plant?

My car is finally at the dealer, it arrived there this morning.
I get to pick it up on Friday, its is getting a few thing installed the week
