Recently I had my RFs replaced. The service guy who did the work stripped a lug nut while putting the wheels back on. (I previously posted this issue because it was my first and I hope my last experience trying to talk to roadside assistance) The dealer, Hassel Motors, recognized their responsibility and replaced the right front hub. They really went out of their way, however, to make me happy by refinishing all four wheels which had been scuffed when they did the tire work. The vehicle is gleaming. All of you in the NYC area would be wise to check this dealer out should you be shopping or in need of service. Paul Giaquinto is a super person in the service dept. I travel from Manhattan out to Freeport and its worth the hassle. (Pardon the pun)

Good deal. It's great to hear positive dealer stories. I think we expect too much of dealers sometimes and that we often want our ways so badly that our logic about what should be expected reasonably of dealers becomes seriously muddled.

Not only the dealership, also the Service Assistant. They are the one decide what service to provide.
Indeed! We sometimes get wrapped up in our own situation not realizing that the service assts. are dealing with dozens daily. We are, after all, a rather picky lot. Aren't we?
Again, kudos to Paul.

second that I know Paul since early 2000 when I got my first new BMW from Hassel, he is a good guy and recommend him to anyone, Hassel has a great new service facility too, Id say its worth using them to anyone in the area, and you wont be treated like at Manhattan BM...if you live in the area, they will pick you up or take you home while service is being done, also they shuttle you back and forth from the LIRR, so if I need service, I drop the car off in the AM, and they take me to and then pick me up at the station...very convenient
