Hi! I have been a longtime lurker of this forum and our family finally ordered a 2007 550i this past Friday from Motorwerks here in the Chicagoland area. Our salesperson was Irv Robinson and he was by far the best car salesman I have dealt with. Everyone around the Chicago area should buy from this guy! The whole price negotiation process took place via email and my reasonable offer of a certain dollar amount over invoice was accepted right away without hassle, and he automatically offered to include a free set of winter mats too. On the order day, he even found us a brand new 07 550i with only 10 miles on the odometer to test drive. All I can say about the test drive is that it was simply breathtaking - what a machine! I thought my current G35 sedan was fast, but after the 550i, I find myself constantly questioning the pickup speed of the Infiniti. A few observations about the 07 550i is that the sports steering wheel has the heating function and the car came with the Bridgestone RFTs instead of the Dunlops. I have never experienced the Dunlop RFTs, but these Bridgestones were never too harsh, infact the ride was really smooth.

And now to the options ordered - 550i, Alpine White, Beige, Stepronic, Sports, Cold Weather, Premium Sound, Power Shades, Rear Seat Heating, Navigation and HUD. The car is scheduled for week 19 production and mid-June delivery. Its going to be a long 2 months! I think I need to find a new hobby or something.

BTW in case anyone is interested, Irv has a used M5 with ~3000 miles for sale. It's black on black with HUD I think.

You can contact Irv via email: irobinson@motorwerks.com

Hi there,

Congrats. We went thru Irv Robinson and he was great. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Nice combo. Apline white and biege was my second choice. Great choice.

Welcome to the forum joseyu!

Yeah, the waiting period is just so annoying, but hey, it is part of the process .
You won't regret you didn't go for the Infiniti, but for the amazing BMW E60 .

Good luck with it and let us know something if you receive it!

You must be Ken right? Irv told us that you were there Thursday evening to pick up your 550i. He even showed us an enlarged version of the pic in your avatar. Speaking of Irv, he just sent me an email with our production number as promised. Now back to waiting for the car.

Hey, we are your new hobbie. The only way to remain sane during the next few months is to lurk E60.net 24/7.

Congrats on ordering your 550 - you will love this car. Can't wait to see it.

No ED this time. We will definitely do ED, when we get our next BMW though.
