Today, after over 3 weeks i got my car back, 24 days to be exact.

I got to the dealership, and ended up spending little over 2 hours there while having them "fix" issues they created fixing "issues"

Had to send the car back o the bay to get the driver seat installed correctly, the bolts were loose - i sat in it & it moved/rocked, and the Phone did NOT work at all - they had to reprogram the phone module again i believe - all this when i came to pick it up.

it was in for the following:

1. Driver Seat has a little play in it when on gas/brake
2. Idrive SLOW/freezes/crashes
3. radio at times NON responsive
4. Steering wheel controls at times did NOT work/respond
5. Passenger Restraint System Fault
6. 15K mile service (at 9,600 miles )
7. Rattles

Concerning Issue #1:
They ordered a new seat rail, did the same. Ordered a 2nd one - same. BMW told them to order a "updated" seatrail - didn't work/wrong part. did that again. ordered the "correct one" - is on backorder & never got it.
Solution: ReInstalled the original seatrail.

Issue #2:
reprogrammed - so far seems RESOLVED (still SLOW though)

Issue #3:
reprogrammed - so far seems RESOLVED

Issue #4:
reprogrammed - so far seems RESOLVED

Issue $5:
reprogrammed - REOCCURED ABOUT AN HOUR

Issue #6:
performed servicee - no explanation as to WHY it was needed at 9,600 miles instead of near 15K miles.

Issue #7:
updated window seals. - so far seems RESOLVED

so ... in the AM the car will go back to the dealership ... & i guess i will just have to wait on the verdict of this one - AGAIN!

btw .. i have 16.2 w/ Perspective View for the Navigation.

so far i have a TOTAL of 47 days that my car has been out of service.

BMW has already agreed to "assist" in this issue, the dealership is just waiting to hear back from them on what they are going to offer, whether it be:
- New Vehicle till end of lease
- New Vehicle & i pay & restart lease
- Buy back the vehicle & be done with it

oh well .. this is my late night rant ....

Add a misaligned driver's door, unless you didn't close it properly before you took the picture.
I would guess you were in a small accident that would cause all these things. The seat seems like it's standard type and if the rail replacement wasn't good enough, then the seat should have been replaced as well. I don't see the lemon law applying here yet.

This sucks! My car is going in for the 4th time now for the loose driver's seat (and the SMG noise and crashing IDrive and misaligned steering wheel and ....).
Its always good when I get the car bach, and then it gets loose again after ~ 1 week or so.
One would think it can't be that hard to make a seat rail that works (even Hyundai etc. can do it.....).

Didn't shut it all the way - car was running.

I'm not lemon lawing it ... BMW agreed to "assist" me in getting out or a replacement - just waiting to hear back from them what they are offering.

So you are down to #1 and #5? Hopefully that will be it.
#1 should be resolved when they install the modified rail.
#5 will be resolved if they install a new module for the restraint. That's what they did for my car and I have had no recurrence for 15 months.

for #1 - they have NO clue as to when the parts will become available.

#5 - i talked with my SA & SM & the shop mastertech, they went ahead & ordered a new seat sensor, that should be here by tuesday.

for the mean time, i have a blue 330i as a loaner.
