Extended Maintenance Program Question

I recently got some very shoddy service from a BMW dealership and as compensation I negotiated the Extended Maintenance Plan for free. It's been 6 weeks now and I have not received any paperwork from BMWNA confirming my car is now enrolled in this program. The dealership claims that it's just recorded on my car's records with BMW and I won't get any paperwork from BMWNA. Am I being told the truth? Should I get any paperwork (like the CPO docs?).

Thanks.

I think extended maintenance just inlcudes oil changes and other regular maintenance items. It's not the same as CPO, which is an extended warranty (which cover's repairs).

I don't have any "paperwork" but my EM is noted in the vehicle profile @ BMW that was printed for me. Ask your SA to run your VIN and it will be there.

Correct it covers all condition-based / scheduled maintenance service for an additional 2 years and up to 100K mikes whichever comes first.

I purchased the extended maintenance and the info is in my key. Any dealer can read the key (so you can take it anywhere for regular maintenance).

Sorry my choice of words was confusing . My car is a CPO so I got the CPO docs from BMWNA after purchasing it. The Extended Maintenance Plan is in addition to the CPO, so I was wondering if I would get a similar set of docs from BMWNA.

OK thanks that's what I was told by the dealership. I just wanted to make sure they were good on their offer. I'll get the SA to run the VIN next time I'm in. Thanks guys

No, you will not get a similar set of docs for the extended warranty. Your written receipt for it is proof enough. You got this in writing, right?

Yes I got it in writing, but no receipt, since it didn't cost me a penny

Then you're all set. Really take advantage of it. I'd love to hear the story of how you got them to throw in such terrific package...
