My Ride: MY06 530i, US Spec, Premium, Nav, HUD, Comfort seats, CWP, Sport package, Rear side airbags. Produced Sep 06.
Thumbs up

I'm on contract in Stuttgart for a Military Car program MY06 530i for Oct production. I was just informed that the base price dropped to $41,000 (down $400) and that my production month was moved up to Sep (from Oct). Sounds great, huh? Here's the catch.

The new price doesn't take effect till 1 Nov, so to get the lower price I have to wait an additional 2 months to take delivery. BMW will gladly make me a car in Sep but I have to pay the higher price.

I understand there are prices changes for the 325 as well (increase) and probably other models too.

I just want to compare notes with what others out there in the Mil Car program before I make my decision.

Thanks!

This is odd because from September BMW will increase the E60 prices from 850 to 1300 Euros in Germany.

And I'm also finding out that military members in Germany are being told different stories as to the cut in dates for the lower prices.
