My Ride: 2005 530 w/ sport package, premium package and that's it----yup it's lacking al the bells and whistles.
Does anyone know whether or not one has to pay for the cargo charges to get the car from Munich to the US?
This Euro delivery sounds great!--I've been wanting to go to Germany for a while now.

My Ride: Toyota Highlander and BMW 530iA
No "cargo charges" to get car from Munich to the US, but you have to pay standard destination and handling of $695.

On August I am doing Euro Delivery for the fourth time. Great experience and great savings. I paid $1200 over Euro delivery wholesale price. If you lease look for my posts on Euro Delivery leasing. US dealers generally try to screw the purchaser on the lease deal.

there are so many good articles so I can't post all of them. Read through them and you will learn fast what ED is all about.
The website has basically all the info that I acquired over the years and they're all in one place. If you still have questions, feel free to ask me.
also, here is an article from Wall Street Journal

Agreed! I've done it once and will probably do it again. There's lots of stuff on the web about it, so it's easy to get all your questions answered. It's a great experience and usually goes flawlessly if you carefully plan it out. Most importantly, you save $'s on the purchase price. You should find a copy of the ED invoice price list and pay no more than $2500 over ED invoice. Some claim to get their ED cars for much less. Some dealers will tell you that you have to pay full retail for ED, but don't believe them! There are plenty of dealers who will get you a good ED price.
and I agree, ED is addictive great experience

yup, you can definitely do better than $2500 over invoice since the car are not coming out of the dealer allocations.
