e60 lease rates for October
Seems like there is a lot of "is this a good lease deal" talk on the board. These are the BMW rates as of 10/6/05. The base rate is exactly that - just a base. BMWFS and the dealer can increase based on credit rating and other variables. But you can't get better than this.
Interesting that all e60s have 60% residual after 3 years except the 550 which has 57%. The 550 also has a nasty money factor. The 3.0L I6 leases are way better value than the V8.
Note that the BMW money factor on a 530 is much better than competitors like Infiniti & Lexus and will often lead to a lower monthly payment on a much higher priced car. Audi is pretty close in money factor though.
Add 2% to Residual Value for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms.

Here is my post on getting a good lease:

That's probably a repeat post too.

I just can't believe how many people don't check the car purchase price on their lease. I recommend negotiating as strongly as possible on the purchase price ($$$s over invoice) before ever discussing lease details. It's the single biggest impact anyone can have on their monthly payment.

Here is the Lease Formula
MSRPxR% = RV
SP+BF+DF+RVxMR=MIC
SP-RV=D
D/LT=MD
MIC+MD=BP
BPxST%=TMP
MSRP Sticker Price US not ED Price
SP Sales Price
R% Residual % as Published
RV Residual Value Lease End
BF Bank Fee
MR Money Rate ie .001
MIC Monthly Interest Charges
DF Dealer Fees
D Depreciation
LT Lease Term
MD Monthly Depreciation
BP Base Payment
ST State Taxes
TMP Total Monthly Payment
Woops, thanks for that. I've edited my post to reduce size. I posted it to have a separate thread for lease rates. I did a search but didn't find it - I guess it doesn't search all the forums.

Here's a post with a spreadsheet that calculates the lease payment:
