seems to me the problem isn't with Dunlop.. It appears to be widespread with Bridgeston, Goodyear, etc.. it is RUNFLAT technology that is causing these issues.. if you read all the posts, even those with other brands have the exact same complaint..
so... perhaps the best course of action is to not get runflats. period. Here's what happens : we have a softer rider, less bumpy, better level of road noise, and equally good handling.. and wait.... longer lasting tires... downside? a little less protection for the rims. seriously, you hit something hard enough, RFT tires won't save the day...
and with the newest software updates, the Active Steering seems to be more "normalized", which should mean less accidental curb rashes.
for what it's worth, I am in the same boat as you all.. waiting for bridgestones. however, i don't think they make the RE050 in the 235/75-18 size for the rear of the Sport package! waiting on dealer for this one!

The problem is the run flat technology. It's just started and not developed to the fullest. How on earth is it possible that BMW decided to fit these uncomfortable tires under such a car.
I assume they have testdriven the car with and without runflats. The people testing the car must also have noticed that the RFT's are not normal sound and comfortwise.
The technology is safe but for me there are too many downsides to the tires and if I could choose again I would go for normal tires.
