My dealership will wash the car automatically after any service, which I think is a nice touch. However, like others, I have to be sure and ask them not to. It's usually clean when I take it in anyway, and I just prefer that no one wash my car but me.

I just came back from dropping my car for an oil change at Mt.View BMW in California .. my SA always asks if I want my car to be washed... usually I say no because I try to keep it clean on my own.. but with the intermittent rain we've been getting here, I took him up on the free car wash this time because my car was hella dirty..

I do like when somebody else washes my car, but I have gotten used to washing my own. I don't think anyone can do a better job. I just washed mine yesterday; for the most part the weather is nice in Florida and I try to make an event out of it, wash the dog, the car and burn some calories in the process...it works out well!!!

My Ride: My 5 and I met on Father's Day 2008 and have been together ever since. 20" Wheels (Make TBD), premium package, sport package, AiB V3 upgrade and a Passport Escort 8500 Radar Detector.
Living in the concrete jungle of downtown long beach I don't have the luxury of washing it myself and all the DIY spray and wash places around are all in the freakin' hood (no thanks).
There's a little hole in the wall detail shop in Belmont Shore (ritzy area in Long Beach) that washes nothing but porches, ferrari's, BMW's, and Benz's all day long. They tend to be a little more focused on not damaging the merchandise. $15 gets me an exterior handwash, vaccuum, and some tire shine.
What I really wanna know is, where can I get a wash like this?

My dealership hand washes car and provides loaner cars for free. Nice offer. The first time I took my 2004 BMW in for service they washed the car. As soon as I got home I had to rewash it, as they such a poor job. Now, everytime I take my car in they put a sticker on it that says Do Not Wash. Guess many customers have this request, as they have pre-made stickers.
