can u tell me more about how was it it night mare to own? i would like to know first hand from 745li owner.
I like e60 better but that's just me. is this cpo-ed?

First off, I really do miss the car and I will be buying the '09 7 Series when it becomes available in the Spring. Looking back, I put so much money into the car and considering the amount I sold it for, I regret getting rid of it. However, with that being said, it seemed to always be at the dealership getting something worked on. The drivetrain never gave me any issues, it was the small electical items; 7Logic amps, speakers, window motors, tire pressure sensors, GPS, PDC, air pumps, A/C, etc, etc. Luckily, I had the 6yr/100K warranty, and had I not had that, I couldn't emagine the cost I would have paid during the last couple years I owned the car.

Here's mine just before I sold it:

The shadowline trim can easily be added on. Why would someone replace the sports steering wheel for a regular non-sport wheel then replace the wheel with an aluminum trim? Doesn't the sports package also have a sports mode button next to the idrive wheel?

this car is too fishy. if i were you, i wouldnt take a change with it as you dont know where its been.

if you want a very neat and clean E60, just post in the classifed section which car you want and which engine, and in your area. i'm sure you ll be getting lots of PMs. This way, if a member tries to sell you a bad E60, we can directly catch him that way this issue will be avoided. that way, you ll have a much greater chance to get a cleaner E60 than buying it somewhere else

Just a thought

Not sure of something. but if it had the Sport package, shouldnt the Steering wheel have the sport steering wheel?

IMO, i think that the owner liked the M-rear and bought it. IS THERE A PDC BUTTON in front. MAYBE THOSE ARE DUMMY SENSORS?

just a thought

+1 on the VIN
I have the sport package and that is the same steering wheel I have.

Thanks. Actually the e60 will be a second car for my wife

So I seem to be confused. . . . do the sport versions have different steering wheels and some other buttons near the iDrive that the non-sport models don't have? I thought that the wheel I have in the picture was the sport wheel?

No, that is the right steering wheel, but it doesn't not mean it has the Sports Pkg. You really need to figure out if it has the sports package or not......as that is a big deal. It also does not have a sport button, but when you shift the gear stick to the left it goes into sports mode (again this is the same is Sport pkg and non-sports package cars). Does it have the comfort seats with the airline type headrest?....they came standard with the Sports package, so if they are not there it could be a good indicator. The rear PDC probably came with the add-on bumber, but why would it have the button on the dash?? no idea....that would make me nervous.

Really? I have the SP w/sport seats, not comfort seats.

Hey guys, in my search for an e60, I found a black one this weekend and I know it belongs to a member here. Here are some of it's options:

1) www.e60.net decals on both rear side windows.

2) M-Sport rear bumper, stock side skirts and front bumper

3) black w/ black interior

4) Sport & premium packages

5) Navi, heads up display, etc

There are a couple issues with the car, and I'd love to know more info on it from the previous owner; unfortunately it's at a broker.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

That is the steering wheel on a 2004 with a sports package. Not sure if the non-sport has the same wheel.

You can have a dealer tell you whether it has the active roll and active steering. You should be able to go into the i-drive and see if there is active steering reset option. If the car is an 04, then active steering was part of the sports package.
