I just got the full Sirius BMW kit from Circle BMW and now want to have it installed. I am in Fremont,CA and wanted to see where a recommended service center (and contact name) to install and reprogram the computer iDrive to 'see' it. The Fremont BMW and Pleasanton BMW centers quoted me $350 and $375 respectively to install it. (Fremont tells me it's 2.2 hours of work. That's $160 per hour!)

Are there any other locations recommended that can do the physical install and the iDrive program which might be more reasonable?

Hi Mark,

I'm over at BMW San Francisco, I'll ask some of my SAs and see what they can do, hang tight and I'll get back to ya!

Meh, just go with what the other dealerships quoted you, our labor rate is $165/hr. There's a chance that you may have to leave your car overnight to make sure that the reprogramming goes smoothly. The newer iDrives are much better and faster but you never know with these cars haha, good luck!
