Hi All,

First of all let me say thanks to the team here for answering many of my post in the past re my new purchase.

Anyhow, we ordered the following car 2 weeks ago and collecting it in the morning.

E60 530d Sport
Carbon Black
Confirt Seats
Visiblity Pack
Media Pack
High Beam Assist
M Rear Spoiler
19" Alloys with Spare
Blk Lth
Advanced Air Con

Any tips prior to collecting it from the dealer, its brand new from a UK BMW dealer?

Thanks

Just prepare yourself to sign loads of forms and fend off offers of GAP insurance etc etc ....

Then make sure you check the car over (easy to forget in the exitement of the moment) in particular making sure that all of the options are correct.

I picked up my 330i sport a couple of weeks ago and it was a really enjoyable process. Hope yours goes as well.

Your 530d will be a great car - nice spec as well.

Gap insurance is only any good and well worth haveing if it is "Return to Invoice" and expect to pay under ?200 for it. BMW will try and rip you off.

Remember most insurers will replace a new car with another new car in year one anyway, so it is only really for years 2 and 3 you are buying, and unless you get full invoice price back it isn't worth it as by year 2 any finance short not be in a shortfall.
RTI is only about 10% more than straight gap insurance, and is so much better.
