Hi guys, I've been lurking around for a few weeks reading as much as I could about the E60. It seems like a great car w/ few problems. I have a question for you experts..

1. Is 52k for a 2004 545i blk blk, 5200 miles, Nav, Sport Package, Auto (not SMG), a good deal?

2. How can I tell if the car has Logic7 stereo?

3. Would I be better off purchasing a Brand NEW 2006 530i as they cost about the same.

Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

P.S. I'm trading in my 2000 S430 Sport. She's got 54k miles, 20" Brabus, CL type grill. The dealer is telling me 29k for her. Seems kind of low, I was hoping to get 30-32k.

If you have the VIN you can call BMWUSA (number on website) and they can tell you every option and when the car was built.

The 545i is a different car than the 530i (power, standard features, etc.) so probably only you can answer that.

You can still call the BMW dealership and give them the VIN or call the seller and ask them about it. If you try to sale your car privately you will get much more for it, just make sure that you are going to be able to get enough to cover the taxes which you would have been exempt from with a trade.

If you are considering a 545i vs 530 My opinion is go with the 545i coming from an S430 w/ a V8 you will most likely miss the V8 if you get a 530. I traded my CLK 430 on my 545i and didnt even consider the 530 but I got a steal on my 545

Sinister, I took the plunge. I took Steams advice and called BMWNA and gave them the VIN and they listed all the options it came with, it was a great help, thank you.

I'm picking her up this weekend (on Sun)! Very excited. She's a jet black 2004 545i w/ 6k miles. Options include: NAV, Sport Pkg., Comfort Seats, Shades, Heated Rear seats (will probably never use them down here in FL), Logic7, Rear factory spoiler (could have done w/o this also), I really wanted PDC... Can you install PDC easily on a car w/ NAV?

How much of a good deal did you get on your 545?

I think you can't add the OEM PDC on the car anymore, not the one that shows up on the idrive screen. You could get the aftermarket one that keep making louisy noises. Glad to heard my car is still worth $52K, was kind of hurting when i saw the same one listed for $49K on ebay.

Yes I got the car! I'm very very happy with it so far. I drove it 300 miles from ATL to Tallahassee and all I can say is WOW...

Me and my GF both LOOOOVE the comfort seats, it's unbelieveable how comfortable it is. I almost fell asleep at the wheel several times!

I have all the issues that's been discussed her though like:

Squeeky doors, LOUD dunlops... etc. Dispite all that I still love her!
