BTW: I very much doubt your figure of €43,000 all in (MWST/VAT, registration, delivery etc.) for a new E60 535d. This would imply a margin of >18%, which is nowhere near the margin these guys (can) make. If this were really the price, there would be plenty of UK buyers flocking over to Germany as it used to happen in the late '80s and early '90s, but not anymore. And it's not because we have all suddenly grown rich...

Hi Dlevi, i can understand your doubts. Here is the link.

http://www.car-connect.net/angebote/ergdet...061&visit=0

If you check the prices of the accessories you will see also that they are cheaper than BMW list prices. And the 43K includes 16% german tax.

there are a few of these kinds of brokers in germany and they exist because the BMW Factory wants to have the certainty that all the cars they produce will be sold.

i called them last year before i got my car, and apparently they dont accept a down payment from you. You simply order your car and pick it up after 8 weeks. I asked the sales guy why he wasnt worried that i may not buy the car if i dont make a downpayment and he said that if i dont pick it up, there are enough other buyers who will take it eventually. A friend of mine ordered his car through them and has a great car now.

1 or 2 people from this forum have used it as well. i dont know if they can order RHD cars.

Thanks Ronald. Very interesting - next car...

I suspect getting a RHD may be harder if what they do is only pick up extra capacity rather than placing orders on a schedule, but why not try and ask - a good reason to learn German, if ever there was a need for one!

WOW,

I've been away for a few days and wow, so many reply's, thanks everyone, its great having so many people giving assistance, i'm sure this post will help others one day.

Anyhow, i've managed to find the following car :

Model 535d Sport Saloon
Year 2006/06
Silver with Black Hide
Dark Stained Burr Veneer Wood Finish.
6 Speed Automatic
Media Pack, Pro Navigation System
Logic 7 Hi-Fi and 6 CD Player
Comfort Seats
Heated Seats,
19" M Double Spoke Alloys
Bluetooth,
Visibility Pack
Privacy Glass
Electric Slide and Tilt Glass Sunroof
Visibility Package - Adaptive Xenon Headlamps
5,800 Miles

?42.950

I have spoken to hte daaler and the car sounds perfect, it also has the confort seats.

However, one big downside, its not being sold via a BMW Maindealer, it does seem to be a big dealer just not BMW, all my previous cars have always been bought via a main BMW dealer.

The Car is a full UK Car with the remaining warranty i have been told.

I'm just a little worried with regards to any accident damage thats been repaired, i am not looking at any cars that have been repaired / sprayed etc. I'm just not experianced enough to know if its every had any bodywork done.

??

They do also take orders and your car is built to your specifications.

If you're spending that amount of money it's probably worth having a professional inspection etc. done... Doesn't the AA do this?
