More expensive is not neccessarily better.? Other than the shape and fact that you cannot seat as many people,? what makes the 645i better than the 545i.

the E60 is a very nice executive saloon, and i do love the design, but i think that the E63 takes it to the next level.... that thing is beautiful, really in the 911 class IMHO, and I am still seriously considering it even though it is less than optimal in terms of interior space, especially with the problems im having with BMW NA regarding the E60 M-Sport... when the E63 drives by, everyone knows it special and i think that overall it is in a class of its own

Ya the 6 series is nice... now that u mention "when the E63 drives by, everyone knows it special and i think that overall it is in a class of its own" Last time I was in a 645 and got out of the car two people walked up to me and go WHAT IS THAT... and preceeded to ask a lot of questions and said that thing must cost like $120,000. When I told them nope you can get it for $70ish they didnt believe me. LOL

No doubt the 645 E63 is a gorgeous car. In the context of options and performance I would not say its a better car. Its different, the flagship, the GT in the line up. The E60 is still the Ultimate Driving Sedan.

Greetings - My wife has decided that a BMW 530xi is the car for her.? We'll probably go for European delivery. At the moment, we're thinking that the auto transmission, premium package, navigation system, Xenon adapative headlights, cold weather package, and park distance control are the way we'll equip it.? Are there folks out there who might offer their wisdom and experience about these options, or those not chosen which might be really good to have? We live near Boston, and the car will be used for daily commuting (30 miles r/t), as well as trips around the Northeast. Any advice Boston-area members might have about dealers would also be great.? TIA for your help.

I'm thinking of e60 for ED too. The sport package is a must IMHO. You get 18s, active steering/chasis stuff, sports seats, not to mentioned a car that looks 4 times better than the non-sport. My apologies to non-sport people out there. Based on my research lately, I think the HUD is also a must if your going with NAV.

Otherwise, you've got it right.

Thinking of a ED 545i sport/prem/cw/nav/hud

Personally myself, 530i owner, regret for not getting the sport package and LOGIC 7. Those two options are a MUST. However, totalling up the amount will be close up to $57-58k. With that kind sum of money, i shall go for 545i instead. Many options are standard in 545i like Premium package and Park distance Control. Just an advice though. OH AND HUD IS GREAT !!! YOU'VE TO GET IT!!

I don't know what the sport package will be like with AWD, but it makes the car for me. Definitely test drive it with and without SP before you place your order. L7 is also worth the extra cash.
