A little birdie says:
BMW of North America is giving their dealers a $500 incentive on all unsold V8s that are undelivered due to the DME problem. It is up to the dealers to decide what to do with the $500 as they are not required to give it to the customers who are still waiting for delivery of their new E60.? BMW NA is suggesting that the dealers use the money to give everyone with the DME problem a free detail and fill-up of gas.

Is this information accurate?
my 545i is uspposed to be delivered tomorrow and I am asking the dealer to install new wheels and tires for me that I bought.
I am wondering if he should charge me for the install since I have been waiting for 4 weeks to get my car??

You know that's is going into the "Super Special Paint Maintenence Coating" 
... that costs exactly $500... translation.. you get a $500 wax..... as the dealer already details the car and fills it up with gas upon delivery to the customer no??

BMWNA is easing the dealers' pain of having extra old stock to unload.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
Whats V8 with the DME problem?
