I have just ordered a 520D M Sport .

Service package, do they include the labour? Are they good value for money?

How much are they charging these days. I just had my first service off the end of the inclusive deal and not recovered from the shock yet

From experience no! I could not refer to the purchase of a service pack as representing value in my case.

I purchased a 60k service/maintenance pack in advance as I expected to rack up the miles, which I have too the car now has 69k miles - during the 60k service pack period the car only required two oil services, and least I forget the wiper blades were replaced too!! Great you'd think only two services required and no 'inclusive' parts replaced e.g. brake pads/discs etc. (the pads still have 15k left according to CBS report) - not so much value when you consider that the 60k service/maintenance pack costs circa 1400UK pounds, that's approx 700 per service - no perception of value in anyone?s thinking there then........................

It greatly depends on how you drive but these cars can have long service intervals, me (must have something to do with me surely!) and my 530d have achieved 22k between oil services (I travel long distances, few short journeys) ? however just to rub salt in the open wound here when the car reached 66k miles magically the brake fluid required replacement, now at 69k magically the micro-filter needs replacement, all good service revenue!!

From my exepereince, call me cynical if you will, but this is too much of a co-incidence to be anything other than a well conceived and executed plan coming to fruition......

Your so right!!!! You know funny thing, the BMW salesman tells you how much you need their BMW service plans, and they are trained to give so much details of all that comes with it, but when we go in for service, our BMW Service Advisor takes it what the BMW salesman away from us!!! i.e. FRONT brake pads that are at the time I bought is was suppose new ones and replaced at 24,000 miles, but since my BMW SA advised me oh that's been changed to 40,000 miles now our PADS are far superior that lasting this long or more!!! But I did get the one oil changes a year from it, and some systems ck, ((WOW about $210.00 in all 70.00 a pop x 3)), but that all so far they gave me from my service plan)

Always remember, they wouldn't be selling it if they didn't make money off it...
