Wow...I'm a little upset !!!

I bought my 2007 530i with M-Sport Pack just 5 months ago.......

Today, I priced out a 2007 550i with M-Sport Pack and the car was the exact same monthly lease cost !!

Doing the math over the same term...same down payment....same mileage....!

I didn't expect it to happen so quickly! I guess the fact that the new re-designed 5 series is coming out soon has a big inpact on current E60 pricing?

Oh well...what can you do...that V8 / 360hp sure would of been nice....

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's experienced this ?

There are a few members here bemoaning the fact that the deals to be had right now are killer. I can recall two off the top of my head: cmansbimmer and MIAMI 5. But, cmansbimmer felt better when I told him that xi models are exempt from the lease deals.

Why do you think that is?

It's been widely speculated that the 528 and 535 will be arriving, thus BMWNA needs to clear out inventory for the new models. Same situation with the 545 last year.

I'm happy, but not thrilled. Being that I had a MF of .00250, it upsets me to know that it's far lower now. It's not as a low as a standard 530, but I'm pretty sure that I could now get a loaded 550 for what I'm paying a month. I put $0 down and have a monthly nut of $884 (including taxes). I also got it for $1500 above invoice. Based on what I've seen with other 550 members, I know I could have gotten it cheaper had I waited. But then again, the wife said AWD or no bimmer again. She had some scary incidents last year during the winter in our E39 530 sport (maybe it's because I never swapped for winter wheels ). Oh well...

The US dollar is now a cheap currency.

Today one Euro buys 1,31 US.

When Euro started in 2002, ?1,00 was worth about $0,95.

That's what the US negative trade deficit causes.

Well, if it was between AWD and no BMW, you made the right choice.

I hate to think what the MF/residual is on the new X5 4.6 - for a $70K MSRP (with options), I think the payment was $1300/month pre-tax before fees and $2500 off MSRP (on BMWUSA website). That is a whole lot more than a similarly priced 550i.

I went to dealer and repriced my 07 530 sport, because I got such a huge discount (3500 off msrp) Im still ahead, even with the new MF my payment would drop $96.00, my current mf is 160...so that is not bad at all.

$96/month is still $3500 over a 3 year lease. :'(

However, there was no way you could predict the MF would drop to 0.0005.
