My Ride: 2012 535i M package
Hello everyone, yesterday I took my car for service, it is an 04 5 speed e60.. 55k because of a noise that months ago thought it was from my steering column, today I got a call from my S.A saying that the mechanic is doing everything to find what the noise is..
but he mas like jocking whit me saying that probably can be normal.. can anyone please listen to the noise and tell me if someone has the same noise.. maybe normal..
thanks so much it would help out a lot

update, I spoke a little bit ago with the mechanic, he is saying that it is kind of hard for him to duplicate the noise, and that probably thats a normal noise, that maybe if I can go tomorrow and show him the noise, probably thats what I would do, but at least he has a good atitude

Yeah, I have the exact same noise I took it to the dealer about 2 years ago, and they told me it is very common with manual transmission BMW's, all you need to do is hold your clutch down when you turn-off the engine and the gear won't rattle and make that noise. It works every time.
