*******Just contacted John Danze at Union Park BMW in wilmington Delaware...HOME OF TAX FREE SHOPPING. If you mention that your part of the e60 forum, he knock off $50 from the maintenance plan. He is the one who pointed out that the plan is tax free i never even thought about that, but for a big ticket item like this it's alot of money to save...remember ask for John Danze 302-573-5234...

Why do you need a maintenance plan when ALL maintenance is included for 4years/50k directly from BMW?

You can also remember that the BMW maintenance plan is a piece of shit.

Why? Because mine expires late 2009 and all I got was a fking oil change out of it. They refuse to replace brakes and rotors when its CLEARLY necessary, (but the "IDRIVE" says no), they only change the oil every 11,000 miles or something totally retarded like that because the "IDRIVE" says no. Won't change the spark plugs because.......... you guessed it, the IDRIVE says no! Its 100,000 miles, not 60 or 50, silly!

Its a huge scam.

You can take that to the BANK.

Last summer, Motorwerks BMW here in MN changed all four rotors and brake pads under warranty, so not sure why you were refused. I didn't pay a cent for $1400 worth of work. I'm out of the 4 year warranty now though.

You didn't say what the price you were quoted. For my '07 530xi it was about $1700.

I'm inclined to agree ... since it covers brakes and other filter/fluid services during the next 50K miles the cost of $1700/$1800 is close to break-even. Even And if you decide to sell your car sooner it might be seen as a (small) selling point. And buying in Delaware (if it is considered a sales-taxable item in other states) gets you another 5-7% break. Heck, even 2 sets of wiper blade changes will be almost $100!

as long as you have less than 60,000 miles on it you can still do the extended maint. plan
