The serive guys at my dealership are awesome, but the parts people are total tool bags. My wheel emblems where faded so I called the parts desk to ask them how much they sell them for he was like "$10" so I drive up there to buy them and he tells me that they cost $18 a piece. "I just called you and asked how much they were....you told me $10"
He replies "well I can 'let them go' for 13 a piece"
I told him "this isn't eBay" and got them later on bavauto.com for $6 a piece.
A few weeks later I was there again for service and I saw buddy who
who had brought in his X5 for service and was looking at the key chains. I go up to him and tell him "don't bother buying those here, I got mine off eBay for like $8 (instead of $24)" and the parts guy was standing right there behind the counter hahaha he looked so pissed off haha

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
Always do comparison shopping. I haven't bought a single piece of electronics from a store since, well, I can't even remember the last time. Google is your friend......

Next time you see parts guys there, ask for a 30% discount. I get that at some BMW dealerships. I am sure your parts guy will remember you and treat you most appropriately.
