Do not sell them short. We bought three ceiling fans made in China 24 years ago -- 5-yr warranty. All three are still serving faithfully wo mishap. Bimmers made in China may bring a premium.

. i've purchased something that is made in china and made in taiwan before. hey, the china ones last a looooot longer than the taiwan ones 
. in fact, a lot of the products are made in china nowadays. even some above average electronic items. the mother companies of course from japan but still made in china. i have a friend who is doing some consulting works for a chinese company called hi-fi-tone in hong kong and their products (made in china) score very high in a lot of reviews. sorry, the site is only in chinese. he said he can get me good deals if i want something from them
