Hi Speed,
I do not have it on mine.
Do you?

Had it on E46 & E39, so why not E60?

For some reason only the USA and Japan got it, but they are now going to put it in all cars from September 2005 production

Dont know whythey didnt include it ,I used it all the time in my E39

I too missed it the moment I took my ride early last year and enquired with the dealer then. They went through the entire TIS and could only tell me that its available in US and Japan E60s.

It became a retrofittable item about 3-4 months ago here, one would have to cough up more than a hundred bucks (US) to get it done - I was told it had, besides the switch, 3 differing wire harness to go into the various control units.

I want the electric folding mirrors too! Here in the US we don't get that. Must have been traded for the trunk release switch!

I can confirm: very nice feature folding mirror (setting on automatic folding off when closing car with key button)
For no trunk switch...it is a pity

Anyone who has retrofitted the trunk opening button in Europe?
Also what happens if I press the button for trunk opening on the remote while the key is in the ignition or even if the car is running?

I'm a bit afraid pressing any buttons on the rmote while in the ignition since on some cars this is a wau how to program some features of the door locks etc....
