So just really quick the registrationi is due the day after I return my car to the dealership. Do I still have to renew the registration before turning her in?

Nope,...when you turn in the car your dealer should be able to handle it, them know..also look closely on the registration form, there should be an option for you to let the DMV also know you are no longer reponsible for the vehicle...

+1 and since you already returned it, its not yours anymore, let the stealership take care of it

Isn't the car actually registered to BMWFS - in a lease situation the leaser isn't the "owner" ... that designation is reserved for those who buy, not rent, BMWs.

Registration of a leased car is usually in the name of the person leasing it. The title, on the other hand, would be in the name of the leasing company...

Either way, go ahead and turn the car in -- hell, I'd say the same thing if it expired two days before turn-in...
