Hi,
My car orginally was fitted normal head light and before delivery I requested BMW dealer to retrofit Adaptive Bi Xenon head lights. It seams that something went wrong as when I took delivery of the car I was told that adaptive action is not operating, but it should work with next software update. Not only that, when the head light switch was set to AUTO, the green lamp was fashing indicatin a fault in the system.

Two month later software of the Light Control Module (LCM) was updated and the AUTO function operated properly. We tried to update Adaptive Head Light module (AHL) but the system did not recognize it, so we switched to Retrofit section which indicated that AHL module is not installed. We went into retrofit procidure of AHL module, bu the existing module was rejected by the system and we got a message REPLACE AHL CONTROL MODULE and it indicated the part number of the module which is the same as the one already installed.

We thought it might be defective, so today we installed a new uncoded AHL module and tried to retrofit it and we are back to square 1 as the system gave the same message REPLACE AHL CONTROL MODULE. Can any one help me in this issue.

Thanks.

Bring the car to the dealer that did the installation/retrofit.

That's why you should bring the car back to the dealer. He needs to fix it, he is responsible for the install/retrofit.
