Your welcome, Rudy. I hate math too! Wasn't any good at it in school. It's ironic that my profession is logic based.

Here's a quick update on the preferred money factor...
I just got back from my dealer and thanks to vegastrashed, I helped my client advisor learn about the promotion. He logged into the BMWFS site and we both saw a document called "BMWFS Enhanced Owner Loyalty Program" which was updated on 4/3/2007 (the update simply added a few more vehicles to the original document from a few weeks ago.)
The concept of the progam is to decrease the current money factor by .0007 so if the current "normal" MF is .0025, the "preferred" MF for current BMWFS customers would be .0018 as mentioned above. This discount amounts to about a 1.68% APR reduction.
Keep in mind that the dealer still is allowed to mark-up the MF by some maximum number (.0040 rings a bell but I can't say for sure.)
Again, thanks to vegastrashed, I was able to get my MF down from a slightly marked-up .0025 to a firm .0018. (I haven't finalized my deal yet so up until today, we were dealing with estimates, etc.) I'm probably going to place my order officially Monday or Tuesday of next week...

sol, you are absolutely right -- thanks! Somehow in my dialog with vegastrashed, I forgot that you were the one that brought it up initially!

Try asking your question about the X5 on bimmerfest's X5 subforum. They can provide you an answer.
