My Ride: 2005 530, Nav, HUD, Sat Radio, Xenon, Cold Pkg,
According to www.realoem.com, the January of 09 535's are using the same part number for the HPFP as July of 08. This would not lead one to believe it has been resolved.

My Ride: 2008 535i 6MT
They will fix it eventually. The E46 3 series was plagued with fan failures for a while till BMW changed fan vendors. The E46 M3 was plagued with a few engine failures. All these M3 owners got new engines. I'm guessing BMW has fired their HPFP vendor and has a new vendor designing a new part. Since BMW plans to TT all its engines, I'm confident they'll back them.

They are on Version #4 ( since launch in the E9x) I think and have already switched vendors. There are already reports on the 09/10 E8X and E9x having issues with the most current part, and I'm on #2 of the most current gen ( Gen #4).
